Diane Hendricks, co-founder and chairman of One Voice member ABC Supply Co. Inc., Beloit, Wis., and her daughter, real estate broker Konya Hendricks Schuh, will work to revitalize the city in which Hendricks and her late husband, Ken, built their business in the new A&E show 鈥淏etting on Beloit,鈥 according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The show involves Hendricks Schuh and her team buying historic homes in Beloit and restoring them. Hendricks, who recently topped the list of America鈥檚 Richest Self-made Women in Forbes magazine for the eighth consecutive year, will finance the revitalization. The team鈥檚 mission is to turn 鈥渙nce-neglected properties into vibrant dream homes for individuals and families ready to plant new roots in Beloit.鈥
In the past, Hendricks has spent millions on local economic development in Beloit, rebuilding entire blocks and bringing several new businesses into the state. Her daughter reportedly also 鈥渉as played a key role in numerous projects that have contributed to the city鈥檚 ongoing growth and renewal.鈥
鈥淚 just want to give back to the community that gave us a chance,鈥 Hendricks said in the 鈥淏etting on Beloit鈥 trailer.
Since her husband's death in 2007, Hendricks has been the chairwoman and sole owner of ABC Supply, one of the largest wholesale distributors of roofing, siding and windows in the U.S.
鈥淏etting on Beloit鈥 premieres July 12 on A&E with back-to-back-episodes at noon and 12:30 p.m. CDT.
